This one day 7 hour course at Ragnar Tactical offers the most in depth handgun permit course available. In business since 2003, Ragnar Tactical has certified thousands of Coloradans to protect themsemsleves by carrying concealed. Owned by a recently retired police Sergeant, Ragnar offers courses in a non-threatening environment with real life experience. Our basic handgun/permit course covers: safety, loading, reloading, marksmanship, clearing malfunctions, verbal command drills, close quarters self-defense, legal issues, and choosing the correct holster for concealment.

Ragnar Tactical has their own private range in Bennett, Colorado. The range is only open for classes. Rangar has been in business since 2003. The owner and lead instructor is a recently retired police Sergeant, who was a full time trainer at the police academy for 8 years.

YOUR DEAL: The basic handgun/permit course is one day for 7 hours and covers: safety, loading, reloading, marksmanship, clearing malfunctions, verbal command drills, close quarters self-defense, legal issues, and choosing the correct holster for concealment.

Must be 16 years old with and an adult present the entire time
Classes are held near Bennett, Colorado – a 20 minute drive from I-70 and I-225, 40 minutes from Parker or downtown Denver. Once you have applied for and been approved for a class, you will be sent exact direction to the range.
Find a class date online at https://ragnartactical.com/classes/basic-pistol-permit/ and then please email us at cocpermit@gmail.com with your name, which class you would like to sign up for, and which date. Lastly, please let us know you found us through GoalFundz.
Handgun, (semi-auto or revolver), preferably 2 magazines or more for semi-autos. Belt holster is required. Rentals: We have semi-autos and revolvers for rent, $20 for the class per gun. Please inquire before booking. Every shooter will need a weapon.
Minimum of 50 rounds. (Cheap ball ammo is fine, we recommend you stay away from aluminum casings.)
We have “mickey mouse” style hearing protection at the range for you to borrow if you don’t own any. Sunglasses are fine for eye protection, we have clear safety glasses if you forget to bring your sunglasses.
We recommend a baseball cap, (to protect your face from flying casings).
Water and something to eat, as we are in a remote location.
A Sturdy belt and belt holster is required.
